Garlic Butter Mushrooms
A simple and delicious way to prepare fresh mushrooms with garlic and butter.
Ingredients
- 200g fresh mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 15g butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Any seasoning of choice
Instructions
- Clean and slice the mushrooms
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large pan over medium heat
- Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant
- Add mushrooms and cook for 8-10 minutes until golden
- Season with salt and pepper
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot
Notes
For extra flavor, add a drizzle of mayo or your favorite hot sauce.
Oyster Mushroom Tacos
Delicious and savory oyster mushroom tacos with a smoky, umami-rich flavor. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 200g oyster mushrooms, torn into strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 4 small corn or flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Tear the oyster mushrooms into thin strips that resemble pulled meat.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until they start to brown and crisp up.
- Add smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry pan or directly over a gas flame for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Fill each tortilla with the seasoned mushrooms and top with shredded cabbage.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
- Squeeze lime juice over the tacos before eating and enjoy!
Notes
